Glee is an American musical comedy-drama series that airs on the Fox network. It focuses on William McKinley High School glee club, New Directions, which competes on a show choir competition circuit while the members deal with relationships, sexuality, social issues and learning to become an effective team.
On 22 August 2013, it was announced that Demi Lovato will appear for at least 6 episodes of the fifth season of Glee. They will portray a struggling New York-based artist called Dani who later befriends Rachel Berry and Santana Lopez and later becomes Santana's love interest. Lovato made their debut during the second episode of season 5, which is called Tina in the Sky with Diamonds. They appeared in 4 episodes, the last being the tenth episode titled Trio.
Demi's song Give Your Heart a Break was also featured in The Break-Up episode, the fourth episode of season 4. It was sung by Rachel Berry and Brody Weston.
