Background

Lovato recently posed for the June/July 2016 issue of Latina where she discussed about her new music. She stated: “

Demi: I don’t care about radio hits. When you try hard for that, it doesn’t happen. It’s songs like ‘Stone Cold’ that I don’t get tired of singing on tour. I get tired of singing ‘Give Your Heart a Break’ and even ‘Confident’ already. I have yet to reach my peak, and also, my voice is better now than it was a year ago. Now I can show people what I can do. There’s a lot of pain that I experienced over the past year, and I’m so ready to write about it. I’ve stayed sober through it all, I’m a stronger person, but it’s definitely been a very painful year.
She explained that her next album “will have a more soulful vibe.” [1] In an interview with MTV News, Lovato stated that she was influenced by many artists for the album, including Aretha Franklin, Christina Aguilera and Kehlani. Lovato also revealed that she worked with producers Pharrell Williams and Mike Will Made It, but their work would not be featured on the album.[2]

Lovato posted on 23 August, 2017 via Instagram the offical trailer of her upcoming album "Tell Me You Love Me" sharing the album title, release date and cover art. [3]
